1. Partner region Crete – enjoyment, culture, and joie de vivre
Crete is the partner region for f.re.e 2026. Greece's largest island captivates visitors with its stunning coastline, impressive natural beauty, vibrant culture, and Mediterranean culinary traditions. Whether you're looking for an active vacation, cultural discoveries, or sustainable tourism, Crete offers a holiday experience for all the senses.
2. Meeting place for self-builders
The DIY Conversion Meeting Point is the place to go for anyone who wants to convert their vehicle into a camper themselves. In Hall B4, bus conversion experts Sven, Christian, and Manu will be offering practical tips and inspiration for van life projects. This will be complemented by presentations from other exhibitors.
3. Renowned guests – live at f.re.e
Look forward to seeing well-known personalities on stage at f.re.e:
extreme athlete Olaf Obsommer, Checker Julian, vacation divers Diana Kauba & Detlef Spatz, and the mountain rescuers from "In höchster Not" will share their stories, experiences, and insights from travel, outdoor activities, and adventure.
4. 55 years of f.re.e – the anniversary area
f.re.e is celebrating its 55th anniversary. In the anniversary area, you can experience special retrospectives on five decades of travel and leisure trends—and find inspiration for the future of travel.
5. Supporting program: Sustainability in travel and leisure
Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at f.re.e. The supporting program features presentations and talks that show what responsible travel and leisure activities can look like today – practical, understandable, and inspiring.
6. Supporting program: Artificial intelligence in travel planning
How does artificial intelligence help with leisure and travel planning? A presentation shows how AI is already being used today for inspiration, route planning, and personalized recommendations—explained in an understandable way and with concrete examples.

7. Back again: European Outdoor Film Tour (EOFT)
The EOFT will once again be part of f.re.e in 2026. On Saturday, February 21, 2026, visitors will be able to watch the Best of 2025 program immediately after the trade fair closes with their valid trade fair ticket.
The film screening starts at 6:15 p.m. on the f.re.e stage in Hall A5. Admission from 5:30 p.m. upon presentation of your visitor ticket.
8. f.re.e talk podcast – Season 2 starting January 13, 2026
The f.re.e talk podcast is entering its second season. Starting January 13, 2026, you can look forward to new interviews, exciting stories, and insider tips on travel, leisure, and active experiences—available to listen to anywhere, anytime.
9. f.re.e time: the fair closes at 5:30 p.m.
A true f.re.e classic: end the day at the trade fair in a relaxed atmosphere with musical highlights and a selection of discounted drinks in our halls – the perfect opportunity to enjoy the evening.
10. f.re.e fan shop – Practical and attractive items
Tried and tested, and popular: from deck chairs to water bottles—at the f.re.e fan shop, you can get a piece of the trade show to take home with you. Practical and attractive items for your leisure time.
